15A – Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 2

1)    In the first interview, she stated that the most important factor of a product is time price and longevity of it. How can you get the most use out of the product or how can it grow as you grow? This is related to my idea of the language tool being upgraded every time you think you are ready for harder difficulty. She also said that she knows she made a good purchase when she sees or feels a difference.
2)    In my second interview, he said that the most important factor is the quality of the product. He looks for how well does this work and asks if it will get ruined easily. He mentioned that a lot of new products or services he tries has a bug or something wrong with it. He wants something that works off the bat and has no bugs. He said that he will most likely buy something for the first time if he sees it in person and then buys multiples of it if he likes it online. He knows that he doesn’t like a product after buying it if that product doesn’t help or is hard to use.
3)    In my third interview, he said that the most important factor of a product the style and quality. He wants a product that can look good in his home and or fit in with his lifestyle. He also mentioned that it is really important to him that he finds good reviews of a product before buying. He wants something that other people have tried and found out if there are any problems. He wants to know all the information before buying a product. As well as he knows if he bought a good product if he doesn’t have any problems while using it. Including problems he finds that finds within his lifestyle.

  1. Hey Erika. Interesting write-up and interviews. It was surprising to read that price was only mentioned once among the most important factors of buyers' decision making processes. I suppose segments are different, and a product like yours is quite valuable, so people may be expecting to pay higher prices for a more important talent and skill. I was not surprised by the people saying quality was important, as people want high quality in something they are paying for, especially when the product or service they are buying is not absolutely necessary.

  2. Hey Erika,
I really felt the points from the people you interviewed. Especially the ones that were about the quality and design . Of course the quality is maybe one of the most important criteria . I think if a product doesn’t has a good quality it almost has no chances to be great . The quality is something that a product needs to have just because the seller must provide a good and working product in my opinion .

  3. Hey Erika,
The first thing that is mentioned is price which of course everyone looks at but it goes hand in hand with all the other qualities usually. The more you pay usually will lead to a higher quality product and better usage. Quality is another topic mentioned as the most important because nobody wants a bad working product that doesn't always work. As an entrepreneur you also look at these traits especially the quality of your product because that's what will draw people to buy your product. Once again quality is important because people can review and talk about your product so having one that is worth the price will be talked about and spread.

  4. AHHH! I love that someone highlighted that they are looking for reviews! Quality over Quantity is something a lot of small business owners can totally rock, but it's ensuring that it stays the same throughout the growing process. Your post is very well executed and laid out so easily. I guess the question is, how do you handle products that you can't "feel" the difference? Great Post!
